Write to Congress

Your Representative and Senators need to hear from you on a regular basis in order to properly represent your interests.

When you write, be sure to:

  • Use the proper form address: (See below)
  • Identify yourself and your credentials
  • List the reason(s) for your letter/email/fax
  • Provide specific, factual examples
  • Specify clearly the action that you want taken
  • If possible, keep your letter to one page.

Always be polite, and keep a copy of your correspondence.
